Crusty Artisan Bread

This crusty, fluffy artisan bread needs only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to come together… you won’t believe how easy and delicious it is!




This beautiful loaf — this glorious bread — might just be the very best bread I’ve ever baked. Seriously. And it also happens to be one of the easiest ever, too. You should check out my other bread recipe here.


The taste, It’s just amazing. The texture, It’s mega-soft on the inside but with a light, tender, almost flaky crust on the outside. You’ll soon see what I mean and you will love it! :)




The preparation, this recipe couldn’t be simpler: you stir a few ingredients together, let them sit for a few hours, then bake a loaf of bread. Done. So yes, you need to drop everything and make this bread right now. So let’s get to it!


Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon dry yeast


1 cup lukewarm water


Procedure:

In a large bowl, whisk flour, salt and yeast until well mixed. Pour in the warm water and use a wooden spoon to stir until a shaggy dough forms. The mixture will be wet and very sticky.


Remove the dough from the bowl and knead the dough a few times on a flat surface covered in flour.


Return the dough into the bowl and cover bowl with cling film. Set aside in a warm place for 2 hours until dough rises.


Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Use a sharp knife to make several slashes on the bread. You should check out this video for different ways of scoring bread and creating beautiful designs.


Bake the bread for 25 minutes.
